Cremated remains (cremains) of family members can be interred in your family plot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Eligibility to bury cremains in a given plot follows the same cemetery law as for casket burials.

The steps to schedule a burial of cremains are:
1) Secure a copy of the deed for the plot that will be used.  If the deed is lost, have the family name of the person who purchased the deed.  We will furnish an affidavit if necessary.
2) Locate the cremains certificate that you received with the ashes.  Please keep that with the ashes that you bring to the cemetery.
3) Prepare to make the payment in advance.  Either a credit card (which will be charged over the phone) or bank check made out to Holy Sepulchre cemetery.  Weekday charge is $1000.  Saturday morning is $1500.
4) Know the date and time for the interment.  If you want a graveside ceremony by a priest, you can call the Blessed Sacrament Office at 914-632-3700 a day or two in advance to schedule.  
5) Call the Cemetery Office (914-636-6343) to schedule.
